His Grace, Archbishop Prof. Solomon Oghenesuvwetoba Gbakara

His Grace, Archbishop Prof. Solomon Oghenesuvwetoba Gbakara, was born over five decades ago into the family of Elder Abel Gbakara of Usiefrun, also known as Urhiephron, and Elder Mrs. Lady Kodje Gbakara of Ogoni-Olomu, both in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.

He is the Senior Pastor, General Overseer, and Founder-Visioneer of God’s Will Mission Inc. Archbishop Prof. Solomon Gbakara has been in active ministry for over three decades, with a ministry that has touched many lives across Nigeria and beyond.

A seasoned minister of the Gospel, he has ministered in churches, conferences, cities, towns, and villages across Nigeria. His ministry has also taken him beyond the shores of Nigeria to countries including the United Kingdom, Italy, the United States of America, Liberia, South Africa, and other parts of West Africa.

Formal Education

Archbishop Prof. Solomon O. Gbakara began his educational journey at Evwirhe Primary School, Aladja, where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate between 1979 and 1984.

In 1985, he gained admission into Oginibo Secondary School, Oginibo, in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State. He successfully completed his secondary education in 1991.

Driven by a deep passion for the work of God, he later enrolled at Global Christian University, an affiliate of People’s International University, Germany, where he studied Theology from 2000 to 2003 and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology.

In 2004, he proceeded to complete a postgraduate programme in Theology at the same institution, earning a Master’s Degree in Theology.

Family Life

Archbishop Prof. Solomon Oghenesuvwetoba Gbakara is married to Bishop Dr. Julien O. Gbakara, who is also a full-time minister of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Their union is blessed with God-fearing children.

Ministry Impact and Visionary Leadership

Archbishop Prof. Solomon Oghenesuvwetoba Gbakara is a purposeful, trustworthy, and visionary minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His life and ministry have positively impacted individuals, churches, ministries, and communities within his locality, across Delta State, throughout Nigeria, and beyond.

Through conferences, seminars, workshops, leadership training, and ministerial gatherings, Archbishop Prof. Gbakara has continued to equip churches, pastors, ministers, and emerging leaders for effective service in the body of Christ.

He is the President and Convener of The Elisha Generation International School of Ministry, also known as TEGISM, “The Next Generation Ministers.” Through this platform, he is committed to raising, mentoring, and preparing ministers of the Gospel for purposeful and impactful ministry.

He is also the Founder and Director of Archbishop Prof. Gbakara Solomon’s Foundation, a non-governmental organization focused on transforming the lives of the less privileged and supporting vulnerable people within society.
